Q - What is the purpose behind this project?
A- It has two purposes depending upon how big the project becomes. The first is to create a web site that contains first hand accounts from British armed services troops and civilian support staff who served or fought in the Korean War between 1950 to 1953. This will include photo’s, documents, anecdotal stories and first hand accounts. This information will be placed on the web site to allow the world to understand what the Korean War was like. I do not intend to duplicate the formal written history of the war, there are enough web sites and books that do that. The second is, time permitting to turn this material into a book. Q - If I send you photographs and documents will I get them back? A- Yes unless you specifically state you don’t want them back they will be returned to you, as long as you give me a return address. Q - What about copyright? A- Please read the Legal and Privacy Policy links. Q - Is your web site a business? A- No I have a full time job. This is a hobby I feel passionate about. The Legal & Privacy pages are standard legal documents that refer to this project as a business/company. Q - Will you donate any money made to a charity? A - At the moment there are no plans to make any money from this project. That said if enough material is produced to create a book from it then I will donate a % from any profits made to the BKVA. |
